Approximate Finished Size: 52″ x 65″

Additional Supplies (recommended)

  • Twin Size Batting
  • Rotary Cutter
  • Cutting Mat
  • Ruler
  • Basting spray (optional)
  • Aurifil Thread
  • Backing: 4 yards

Quilt Instructions

1) Sew blocks with right sides together & ¼ inch seams:

  • Block 1:  Apple Blossom Apple Seeds + Coral Hey Ewe
  • Block 2: Lakeshore Window Box + Apple Blossom Chicken Fancy
  • Block 3: Apple Blossom Apple Seeds + Apple Blossom Chicken Fancy
  • Block 4: Lakeshore Window Box + Aqua Hey Ewe
  • Block 5: Lakeshore Window Box + Twine Hey Ewe
  • Block 6: Apple Blossom Apple Seeds + Twine Hey Ewe
  • Block 7: Apple Blossom Chicken Fancy + Lakeshore Window Box
2) Assemble rows based on pattern instructions.
  • Note: It is recommended to lay the entire quilt out according the assembly instructions before sewing.
  • Odd number rows should be pressed to the left. Even number rows should be pressed to the right for nested seams.
3) Using a rotary cutter and ruler, square up sides.

4) Add batting to cover front of the quilt with at least 2 additional inches on all sides. Basting spray could be considered to hold the quilt top and back to the batting while quilting.

5) Complete pieced backing (see instructions below)

6) Quilt with desired pattern. I used stitch-in-the ditch quilting. If you’d like to learn this method, check out The Spruce Crafts.

7)  Sew binding strips together and bind quilt.
