United States Shipping

United States Parcel Service (USPS) Shipping:

  • Orders over $100 and quilt kits ship free
  • Estimated delivery time: 
    • Priority: 1-3 business days
    • Ground Advantage: 2-5 business days

United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground Shipping:

  • Orders over $150 ship for free to 48 contiguous United States.
  • Orders less than $150 ship for $14.95 with certain restrictions.
    • UPS does not ship to PO boxes.
    • Additional shipping charges may be added to orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and other non-contiguous states. We will contact you before making any adjustments.
  • Estimated delivery time: 1-6 days

Free Shipping Criteria: 

  • Customer must select free shipping and enter coupon code, if applicable, during order checkout in order to receive. 
  • For quilt kits less than $100, coupon code is quiltkit 
  • Sale and clearance quilt kits may not qualify for free shipping. Please refer to item description

Handling

We are a small family business. Orders will be processed as quickly as possible (usually within 1-2 business days). Please keep in mind that yardage requires additional handling compared to items such as precuts or notions and may require additional preparatory time.

Yardage Ordering Guidance: Fabric can be ordered in both half-yard and yard increments. A half-yard cut is defined as 18″ x width of fabric. A yard cut is defined as 36″ x width of fabric. Fabric will be cut as one continuous piece unless otherwise specified in order notes at checkout. For example, if a quantity of 3 was ordered in half-yard increments, a 1.5 yard piece of fabric would be shipped. 

Order Changes: If adjustments need to be made to an order, please contact us and we will try to accommodate if possible. Because we are a small business with limited inventory, we can only adjust yardage into smaller cuts or add additional yardage after a piece has been cut. Please review your order carefully before placing it. 

International Shipping

United States Parcel Service Shipping:

USPS rates are as follows:

  • $30: Padded flat rate envelope
  • $58.06: Medium flat rate box
  • $70.55: Large flat rate box
  • Estimated shipping time: 6-10 business days

All international orders will be charged $30 and shipping will be adjusted based on the order. 

  • If items fit into a smaller envelope, customer will be refunded excessive shipping.
  • If items require larger box, customer will be charged for an additional amount via Stripe Invoice. Invoice must be paid before items will ship. If invoice is not paid within 3 business days, the order will be cancelled and is subject to our returns policy.
Free shipping on quilt kits does not apply to international orders. However, a $10 refund will be issued towards shipping charges when quilt kits are purchased at full price and without other promotions.

Please refer to the USPS website to see if they will deliver to your area since there have been several service disruptions due to COVID-19.

United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground Shipping: Standard international shipping is through USPS. However, we are happy to discuss a custom quote through UPS!

Any additional customs fees, duties, or taxes (if applicable) in customer’s country are the responsibility of international customers.

Order Issues

If issues arise regarding an order, our processing team will reach out from the following email: customerservice.frayedfabrics@gmail.com. It is the customer’s responsibility to respond to our processing team within 3 business days. Please make sure to check your spam folder after placing an order within this allotted time to prevent delays. Specific issues will be dealt with as follows:

  • Shipping Address: Please double check the shipping address before placing an order. Customers are responsible for inputting the appropriate shipping and billing addresses. Additionally, any order shipped with incorrect address due to customer error will not be refunded if it does not reach the intended recipient. Any address considered invalid will be subject to our returns policy if the customer is unable to communicate the correct address. 
  • Credit Card Billing Errors/Other: All order issues unable to be resolved will be refunded and are subject to our return policy below including a restocking fee. 
Customers are expected to communicate their concerns with Frayed Fabrics Customer Service using complete sentences and not one word responses. This is to avoid delays and miscommunications. If customers are unable to do this, Customer Service will not be able to help further. Additionally, Frayed Fabrics will not be held responsible for any of the following: missing orders, damaged orders, order issues, or returns, or any other concern.
 

Returns

Our goal is for customers to love their orders and be 100% satisfied with the purchase. If this is not the case, please contact us within 15 days of the original purchase date.

Refunds will be issued once the item is returned assuming all products returned are in the original packaging and new condition. No refunds will be provided for damaged items or items with any odor. Shipping cost and third party processing fees will not be refunded and if the order qualified for free shipping, shipping costs will be deducted from the returned amount. Additionally, a $5 – $10 restocking fee will be charged.

Certain items may not be returned, including but not limited to, sale items, clearance items and remnant fabric because of the substantial discount given. Additionally, all sales are final for any customized material. Also, patterns and books may not be returned because of copyright laws.

Missing or Damaged Orders 

Missing or Damaged Product:

If something is missing or damaged in your order, please contact us within 7 days of receipt so we can rectify the error. Once Frayed Fabrics Customer Service has been notified at customerservice.frayedfabrics@gmail.com. , instructions for obtaining a return label and returning the damaged products will be provided. It is important that customers hold onto the original packaging for all damaged goods, have pictures of the damage incurred, and the order number. Orders cannot be re-issued without these. The customer must provide these within 3 business days of the request by Frayed Fabrics Customer Service. If these are not provided in the timeframe above, no refund will be provided and the customer will be responsible for the loss.

Please note we cannot re-issue products due to manufacturer fabric flaws or external damage related to quilt kit keepsake boxes/collectible boxes. We try our best to inspect all fabric and packages before shipping, but cannot control shipping carrier handling or the manufacturer process. 

Any missing or damaged product will be re-issued if in stock or when available at no additional cost. If the item is no longer available, the customer will have the option to receive a refund or replacement with a similar item. 

Missing Package:

If the customer does not receive the package within the allotted time indicated based on tracking and estimated delivery, please contact Customer Service at customerservice.frayedfabrics@gmail.com. The customer must wait at least 7 days from the last day of estimated package delivery to contact Customer Service for help. The customer must contact Customer Service no later than 14 days from the estimated delivery. The party responsible for following up and filing a claim, if necessary, is as follows:

  • Packages lost in route (ie. not marked delivered by tracking): Frayed Fabrics is responsible and will assist if the package is not recovered within 7 days from expected delivery date. If it is determined by the carrier that the mail is unrecoverable and the claim is approved, Frayed Fabrics will re-issue the package at no additional expense. A refund may also be issued if the item is out of stock and is not subject to the restocking fee. 
  • Package lost after being marked delivered or Customer Service contacted > 14 days from the estimated delivery date: Customer is responsible for finding package; Frayed Fabrics may assist but will not be required to. No refund will be issued unless carrier agrees to reimburse Frayed Fabrics.
